Welcome to Noon and Hammett, Attorneys at Law!
Our law firm has offices in the downtown areas of both Greenville and Spartanburg in Upstate South Carolina. We are experienced attorneys offering services in Real Estate Law, Corporate Formations and basic Estate Planning services.
We work with a wide variety of clients in each of our practice areas, and many of our clients return to us again and again for additional legal services.
Residential and Commercial real estate transactions are the main focus of our Firm. We can represent clients for closings on any real estate that is located in the State of South Carolina.
We tailor our closings to suit each client’s needs. For instance, if you are purchasing a home as a first-time home buyer, we will take the time to make sure you are comfortable, understand your closing documents and answer any questions you may have before, during and after your closing. We will always be available to you if you have any questions or need any legal advice.
On the other hand, if you have have bought and sold a number of properties or are an experienced real estate investor, we will make your closing process more streamlined to suit your level of knowledge and needs.
In addition to handling closings, we prepare and review documents surrounding real estate transactions for our clients. These include deeds, leases, specific powers of attorney, promissory notes, contracts for deed and mortgages.
For those clients in need of a simple estate plan, we can prepare a simple will, healthcare power of attorney, general durable power of attorney and living will (or more cheerfully referred to as the ‘declaration of desire for a natural death‘) and give you the advice you need to make informed decisions. We can help you plan ahead to provide for your family in case of your death or serious illness.
We also help business owners form limited liability companies (LLCs) and corporations. We can help you determine the most effective business type for your personal situation. We will prepare all the relevant paperwork to set up your corporation and get you started in your new or existing business. This includes LLC Operating Agreements and Corporation By-Laws, filing Articles of Organization or Incorporation at the Secretary of State’s Office and obtaining a Federal Tax Identification number for your business.
